As a supplement to his invaluable series on Plotinus's Enneads, @AncPhi provides here an introduction to his simultaneous series on Porphyry's Life of Plotinus. The great (and ongoing!) influence of Plotinus in both philosophy and theology cannot be overstated, and so what @AncPhi is providing in his series here is truly invaluable.
